About The Role:Location: LL77 7TT
Days of Working: 10:00am - 14:30pm Wednesday & Thursday 07:00am - 15:00pm
Key Responsibilities- Measuring, peeling, chopping, and mixing ingredients
- Processing kitchen deliveries, ensuring that your workstation always has ingredients and equipment available
- Make sure that all your other colleagues always have fresh produce and ingredients by ensuring stock rotation is adhered to. Our Commis Chefs will regularly check expiration dates and discard expired food whilst recording it in the wastage book
- Assisting with the preparation of basic ingredients and dishes, such as salads, vegetables, starters, main courses, and the bakery section
- Ensure that the kitchen is clean and organised whilst adhering to food safety and sanitation standards (legal and company)
- Commercial kitchen experience is highly valued but not essential
- Ideally you will possess a basic Catering and Hospitality certificate such as Food Handling or equivalent is desired but not essential as we can provide this for you
- Must have basic knife skills, food preparation skills, and time management skills. The ability to work under pressure and excellent organisational skills are also important
- Can stand for extended periods is often necessary due to the physical nature of the job
- Must have the Right to Work in the UK
- City & Guilds certification, BTEC, or NVQ at a basic level is required
- Additionally, completing a food hygiene course at Level 2 would be desirable
- Excellent customer service skills are essential
- Good time-management and organisational abilities
