Are you an experienced Commercial Property Legal Secretary looking to join a highly regarded law firm where you'll be valued as an integral member of the team?
An excellent opportunity has become available for an organised and proactive Commercial Property Legal Secretary to support a busy and successful Commercial Property department based in Chester.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced legal environment and is looking to further develop their career within commercial property law.
The RoleWorking alongside experienced Commercial Property Fee Earners, you will provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support across a varied caseload of commercial property transactions.
- Opening and maintaining client files in line with compliance and risk management procedures
- Preparing client care documentation and legal correspondence
- Audio and copy typing legal documents with a high level of accuracy
- Carrying out Commercial Property searches using Searchflow and relevant authorities
- Using the HM Land Registry Portal to obtain official copies, title documents, plans and priority searches
- Completing bankruptcy searches and other pre-completion tasks
- Preparing SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications following completion
- Collating title packs, scanning deeds and maintaining electronic document management systems
- Preparing invoices, completion statements and accounts documentation
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, lenders and third parties by telephone and email
- Providing first-class administrative support throughout the conveyancing process
- A minimum of 6 months' experience as a Commercial Property Legal Secretary (essential)
- Previous experience supporting Commercial Property Fee Earners
- Excellent audio typing and document production skills
- Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy legal environment
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- A proactive, positive and professional approach
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- Competitive salary of £27,000 - £32,000 DOE
