The role: Our client is seeking a resilient, proactive, and adaptable Commercial Officer professional to join our dynamic team in a role that supports end-to-end sourcing activities in a fast-paced and evolving public sector environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong commercial mindset and solid experience in public sector procurement to contribute to impactful work, develop professionally, and make a tangible difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting end-to-end sourcing across various categories using Client frameworks (including direct awards and call-offs)
  • Managing multiple procurement activities while ensuring compliance with public sector regulations
  • Collaborating with stakeholders at all levels, adapting communication to suit different audiences
  • Analysing data to identify trends, generate insights, and support informed decision-making
  • Navigating changing priorities with a calm, solutions-focused attitude

What the client is looking for:

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in public sector procurement
  • Solid understanding of commercial principles and public procurement regulations
  • Experience supporting tenders through Client Frameworks
  • Confident in stakeholder management and communicating with clarity
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Completed, or willing to complete, the Transforming Public Procurement (TPP) E-learning
  • Exposure to the Procurement Act 2023 (training support will be provided if needed)
  • Proven ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
  • CIPS Level 4 (or equivalent) OR minimum of 2-3 years' commercial experience within procurement
  • Evidence of delivering meaningful procurement outcomes
  • Experience in supporting complex sourcing activities with measurable impact
