This role is to be based in our Head Office reporting to the Commercial Director.The core responsibilities of the role will include:•Responsible for the day-to-day management of the commercial team, including scheduling, providing clear direction, coaching and intervention where required.•Engagement with key clients and stakeholders, such as local authorities.•Working with our depot teams to maintain operational excellence, being the lead on punctuality.•Ensure strong and timely reporting process are in place to facilitate insightful commercial analysis to drive the business forwards.•We are looking for someone who ideally has:• A good working knowledge of the public transport industry, desirable to be the bus sector.•Good geographic awareness and willingness to travel - while based in Carlisle the role will involve travel to all areas of our operation, including our office in Preston.•A Transport Manager CPC qualification (although if you don't hold this, we will help you to obtain one as part of this role).•Good analytical, organisational and people skills.•Aside from the opportunity to delve into the above, we can offer a competitive salary and benefits package.•If this ticks your boxes, we would love to hear from you!Applicants are invited to apply through Workday.If you would like further information about the role, please contact: •Stagecoach is proudly an inclusive employer, striving for a culture where everyone can be themselves and where all the differences people bring are truly appreciated.
