Full-time, Permanent role

We are recruiting a full-time Commercial Manager to join the team on one of our most successful event portfolios, Digital Construction Week. Consisting of a flagship exhibition in London, a regional event in Manchester, an awards ceremony in London plus an online content hub, this internationally recognised brand attracts an audience of over 10,000 attendees each year.

This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious, focused Commercial Sales Manager to drive revenue and develop their career within a forward thinking events company.

It is a high impact role for someone who excels at phone based selling, thrives on building strong client relationships, and knows how to convert interest into long term commercial success. Communication and organisational skills are a must, as is superb account management and the ability to convert and close sales.

The role

This is a dynamic and commercially focused role where selling over the phone and achieving a strong conversion rate are absolutely essential. You'll be responsible for driving revenue through proactive outreach, relationship building and strategic account management across three events.

In addition to owning sales targets, you'll lead and motivate a small team of two sales executives, ensuring collective success through coaching, pipeline management and performance development.

Key responsibilities
  • Conduct high level business meetings with top industry brands
  • Deliver first class account management to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Cultivate new business leads and convert them efficiently through phone based selling, e mail or face to face
  • Attend relevant industry trade shows to represent the brand and generate leads
  • Hit individual and team sales targets consistently
  • Lead, coach and develop a small team
  • Proactively pitch and close sponsorship opportunities
  • Collaborate with other departments such as operations, marketing and finance to ensure seamless delivery of client requirements
  • Curate impactful sales e mails and reports
  • Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape
  • Create engaging LinkedIn posts to support sales and brand visibility
  • Use Salesforce to maintain the sales pipeline and generate reports for management
Your profile
  • Currently working in a Commercial Manager role or similar, with a proven track record of converting leads
  • Experience in the events and exhibition industry is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Hands on, positive attitude and a collaborative team player
