PermanentSoutham - Office basedMonday to Friday - 9am to 5pm (37.5hrs pw)£48,000pa + profit share schemeOur client, a successful company in the construction industry that provide a specialised product/service, are looking for a Commercial Manager to join their small but busy team based in Southam. This role will encompass liaison and administrative support to the Commercial Director.The key responsibilities of a Commercial Manager - Construction:
- Working closely with the construction, procurement and estimating functions
- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
- Providing commercial advice as required
- Assisting in establishing a client's requirements, as well as undertaking and controlling costs on individual projects
- Providing cash flow forecasts on an individual project basis and for the business on a whole
- Discussing project variations with the contracts team
- Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
- Valuing completed work and arranging payments
- Producing invoices and applications for payment, submitting to the client
- Management of dispute resolution
- Ensuring overdue debts are swiftly collected and resolved
- Background in the construction industry, ideally in a commercial based role
- Professional construction qualifications ideal, extremely advantageous if this is surrounding quantity surveying
- Experience with billing and payments, managing commercial processes
- Understanding of the payment cycle and process in construction
- Strong team player and good under pressure
- Honest and open, confident and able to communicate on all levels
- Strong attention to detail, particularly numerical
- Strong IT skills
