An established and growing building services and maintenance contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join its team across Northern Ireland.
Your new role
You will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, repair and installation of commercial gas heating systems across a range of commercial, industrial and public-sector properties. Duties will include planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault-finding, breakdown response and remedial works, ensuring all systems operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems
- Service, repair and maintain commercial boilers, burners and heating plant
- Diagnose and resolve faults on heating, hot water and control systems
- Complete gas safety inspections, testing and commissioning
- Produce accurate service reports and maintenance records
- Ensure compliance with Gas Safe regulations and health & safety standards
- Provide a high level of customer service across multiple client sites
What you'll need to succeed
Essential Requirements
- City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Plumbing, Heating or Mechanical Services
- Current Gas Safe Registration with relevant commercial gas qualifications
- Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience delivering PPM and reactive maintenance contracts
- Good understanding of Gas Safety and Health & Safety legislation
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- OFTEC registration
- Experience with BMS controls and commercial heating systems
- Knowledge of burners, gas trains, pumps, valves and pressurisation units
- Relevant manufacturer accreditations or training
- CSR Card or equivalent site safety certification
