Job Description

• Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, providing financial insights and guidance.
• Prepare and present detailed financial reports to support decision-making processes.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting activities, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Analyse financial performance and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and revenue growth.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Look at business cases outside of the numbers and finance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business planning and performance improvements.
• Provide input into strategic initiatives to support long-term business objectives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Manager should have:

• A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in commercial finance.
• Experience in strategic project work.
• Strong analytical skills providing the detail, but also being able to discuss the bigger picture - tell the story and know the numbers behind it.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with Director level stakeholders.
• Experience in the retail, FMCG or Food & Beverages industry is advantageous.
• Proficiency in financial systems and tools.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
