Commercial Finance Manager

Chemco Ireland Ltd is seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Commercial Finance Manager to play a central role in driving financial insight, performance, and strategic decision making across the organisation. This is a hands on, high impact position that partners closely with the CFO, senior leadership, and cross functional teams to support Chemco's growth ambitions through robust analysis, modelling, and clear, actionable recommendations.
In this role, you will take ownership of the full month end reporting cycle, budgeting and forecasting processes, and the development of advanced financial models that support planning, margin analysis, investment decisions, and commercial negotiations. You will translate complex financial and operational data into meaningful insights, challenge assumptions, and influence decisions with confidence and clarity.
Working closely with Operations, Commercial, Sales, and Marketing, you will build KPI dashboards, strengthen financial controls, enhance reporting systems, and ensure ongoing audit readiness. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing evidence based analysis, scenario planning, and forward looking financial guidance.

Core Responsibilities:- Lead the full month end reporting cycle, delivering accurate management accounts, variance analysis, commentary, and trend insights.
- Own the budgeting and forecasting process, including quarterly re forecasts, scenario planning, and long range financial modelling.
- Build and maintain advanced financial models to support planning, margin analysis, investment decisions, and commercial negotiations.
- Conduct sensitivity and scenario analysis to guide strategic decision making.
- Prepare and submit high quality reporting packs to senior stakeholders on time, every time.
- Partner closely with Operations, Commercial, Sales, and Marketing to provide clear, data driven recommendations.
- Develop KPI dashboards that translate complex data into actionable commercial insights.
- Support pricing, costing, new business proposals, and strategic commercial initiatives through structured financial analysis.
- Convert operational KPIs into meaningful financial implications for senior leadership.
- Strengthen financial controls, approval frameworks, and ensure ongoing audit readiness.
- Drive cashflow management, working capital optimisation, and forward looking financial insight.
- Ensure compliance with tax, payroll, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Enhance finance systems, automate reporting processes, and improve data integrity.
- Confidently challenge assumptions and influence decisions using evidence based analysis.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, communicating insights clearly and commercially.
- Manage audit preparation and liaise with external advisors across audit, tax, and regulatory areas.
- Prepare business cases, investment appraisals, and margin improvement analysis to support strategic growth.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with 5 7+ years PQE in commercial finance, FP&A, or analytical finance roles.
- Exceptional financial modelling skills with a strong command of Excel and analytical tools.
- Highly detail oriented with strong problem solving ability and a natural analytical mindset.
- Experience partnering with commercial, sales, or operations teams is an advantage.
- Exposure to Power BI, ERP analytics, or similar reporting tools is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills - able to distil complex financial information into clear, simple, actionable insights for non finance stakeholders.
