You'll use your financial expertise to support and challenge senior leaders, helping shape smart, data-informed business decisions.

You will also play a key role in budgeting, forecasting and reporting, including solvency metrics, helping guide the business toward sustainable, profitable growth.


Responsibilities

What you'll do

  • Analyse performance vs. budget and prior year to inform forecasts and corrective actions.
  • Acting as a finance business partner to the UK ExCo members and their teams, providing support, challenge and financial data to assist with budget preparation and performance management.
  • Support budget planning, identify key variances, and challenge business plans to drive improvement.
  • Build financial models to assess performance and evaluate commercial opportunities.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify and implement continuous improvements.
  • Lead Solvency-UK reporting and annual regulatory submissions, resolving issues as needed.
  • Take a commercial, analytical approach to solvency reporting and streamline processes.
  • Support preparation and submission of regulatory returns.
  • Work with the wider finance team to enhance financial management and reporting rigour.
  • Assist with year-end audits, financial reviews, and statutory accounts as required.
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications

  • Accountancy or finance experience, gained through formal qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) and strong academic performance.
  • General Insurance experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, working with senior stakeholders on financial management and financial analysis.
  • Innovative and proactive approach to resolving problems, taking ownership and being accountable for results.
  • Strong analytical and data manipulation skills.
  • Financial and commercial acumen and experience of using data to influence decisions.
  • Working knowledge of Solvency II / UK reporting.
  • A drive to make a positive difference
  • Financial modelling experience.
  • Preferred but not essential: Use of accounting software, including Sun Systems.
