Do you have a Commercial Finance background looking foran enterprising new role?
As a Commercial Finance Manager, you will form an integralpart of the team responsible for the pricing and financials on some of our mostsignificant tenders for new business. This is a business-critical role whereyou will work with almost all departments of Sopra Steria to support tenderswith values ranging up to £100+million. There is regular contact with seniormanagement and exposure to a wide range of customers and services across bothpublic and private sectors.
To be successful in this role you will come from a financialbackground, with strong interpersonal communication skills, an example being anability to illustrate and explain financial scenarios to finance andnon-finance people alike.
This is a Hybrid-Variable role with occasional travel toeither our London or Hemel Hempstead site, meaning you will be required to bein the office no more than 3 days per month.
What you'll be doing:
- Participatingin assessments of the target price for each tender
- Engagingwith various teams across the business to efficiently collate, validate,understand, analyse, challenge and present the costs and assumptionsunderpinning the pricing model for each tender
- Presentingincome statements, balance sheets and cash flow analysis for our tendersto key partners
- Communicatingregularly with key partners including the Commercial Finance Director
- Preparingand presenting alternative pricing options and scenarios
- Assistingwith the Sopra Steria tender governance process - providing financialinformation and responding to actions where required
- Financialhandover of successful tenders to the delivery and support teams
- Assistingthe delivery and finance teams with financial queries on live contracts
What you'll bring:
- Financerelated degree and/or Accountancy qualification - part or fully qualifiedwith ACA, CIMA or ACCA
- Sophisticatednumeracy, including ability to model scenarios and sensitivities
- Strongexcel skills
- Strongverbal and written presentation and communication skills
- Respondingpositively to tight deadlines, while being mindful of standards
It would be great if you had:
- Awarenessof IT/BPO projects and services
- Experienceof working on projects or bidding in a financial capacity
