We have been exclusively retained by Bruntwood to appoint a Commercial Finance Director to a critical senior leadership role supporting some of the UK's most ambitious city shaping regeneration and residential programmes.

The Opportunity

Through long term partnerships with local authorities, public bodies and private capital, Bruntwood delivers complex, mixed use regeneration schemes that combine commercial, residential, innovation and cultural space.

This role sits at the heart of that agenda. As Commercial Finance Director, you will act as a strategic commercial and financial partner, shaping investment decisions, joint venture structures and funding strategies while providing robust leadership to a high performing finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a senior commercial and financial advisor across major regeneration and residential projects
  • Lead on public private partnerships and joint venture structures, including negotiations and governance
  • Provide rigorous challenge to business plans, investment cases, forecasts and operational performance
  • Own forecasting, commercial metrics and delivery of high quality management and board reporting
  • Ensure funding, liquidity and capital structures are optimised across joint ventures and developments
  • Represent Bruntwood on external boards, committees and partner forums
  • Drive close collaboration between finance, commercial and operational teams
  • Lead and develop a team of 8, setting clear standards around performance, accountability and culture

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Proven experience in commercial finance leadership within property, real estate, infrastructure or regeneration
  • Strong exposure to public private partnerships and complex stakeholder environments
  • Residential development experience highly advantageous
  • Confident operating at board level with excellent influencing and negotiation skills
  • Hands on leader who thrives in an office based, collaborative culture
