What you'll doIn the capacity of Commercial Dispute Solicitor based in Bristol, you will:
- Provide considered dispute resolution and litigation counsel to a broad spectrum of clients encompassing corporates, SMEs, and family-run enterprises across multiple sectors.
- Administer a varied caseload involving commercial disputes, including contractual disagreements between businesses as well as claims pertaining to professional negligence.
- Engage constructively in mediation and alternative dispute resolution processes with the objective of securing favourable outcomes for clients whilst maintaining robust professional relationships.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across various offices within the Commercial Dispute Resolution team to promote knowledge sharing and the dissemination of best practices.
- Contribute meaningfully to business development initiatives by cultivating existing client relationships and identifying new avenues for engagement.
- Deliver consistently high standards of client service by remaining responsive, organised, and attentive throughout each phase of the dispute process.
- Prioritise tasks judiciously in order to meet multiple deadlines efficiently within a demanding legal environment without compromising quality.
- Support junior colleagues through mentoring activities and the sharing of expertise when appropriate to foster their professional development.
- Participate regularly in team meetings, training sessions, and firm-wide networking events to strengthen communal ties within the organisation.
To excel as a Commercial Dispute Solicitor within this distinguished practice, your background should:
- Possess between newly qualified (NQ) up to four years post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial dispute resolution or litigation acquired within a reputable law firm setting.
- Demonstrate proficiency in managing complex commercial disputes including contractual disagreements and professional negligence claims on behalf of corporate clients.
- Exhibit proven ability to work both independently on individual caseloads as well as collaboratively within broader team structures spanning multiple office locations.
- Display exemplary interpersonal skills enabling swift rapport-building with clients while maintaining enduring professional relationships founded upon trust.
- Show outstanding organisational capabilities allowing for effective management of competing priorities under stringent deadlines without compromising quality or attention to detail.
- Possess experience participating in mediation or alternative dispute resolution processes with demonstrably positive outcomes for clients (highly desirable).
