COMMERCIAL ACCOUNT MANAGER


The Role

The Commercial Account Manager plays a pivotal role in driving business growth and managing key partnerships with leading brands that influence the lives of millions across the globe.

Success in this role depends on effective collaboration with over 30 international clients. The Account Manager is responsible for overseeing commercial operations and expanding the international business through new licensing and distribution opportunities. This involves coordinating activities across the full commercial lifecycle-from market research and product development through to launch and post-market evaluation-ensuring both clients and consumers receive high-quality product propositions.

As part of a small and agile team, the individual will be instrumental in aligning cross-functional departments towards achieving strategic business goals.

A successful commercial strategy and execution will result in the development of strategic partnerships, geographic expansion, innovation in product offerings, strong client satisfaction, and sustained revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute commercial strategy to meet ambitious growth targets.
  • Manage client accounts, ensuring smooth execution of operations and alignment with strategic objectives and contractual commitments.
  • Drive business development through product innovation, range extensions, and successful market launches.
  • Conduct market evaluations to identify growth opportunities and support the innovation pipeline.
  • Identify and qualify new international prospects, developing tailored business plans.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships through structured relationship management and action plans.
  • Negotiate and finalise commercial agreements related to licensing, distribution, and joint development.
  • Ensure timely execution of new product launches.
  • Provide senior management with regular updates on performance metrics, including sales, forecasts, and profitability.
  • Represent the company at key industry events to foster partnerships and explore new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across marketing, R&D, supply chain, regulatory affairs, and quality management.

Required Experience

  • At least 8 years' experience in sales or marketing within the consumer healthcare, pharmaceutical, or personal care sectors.
  • International experience and a strong understanding of global market dynamics in consumer health.
  • Ideally holds an MBA or MSc.
  • Formal training in sales and/or marketing is advantageous.
