CNC Machine Programmer (Voortman/Ficep_ £35-£40k Leeds Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per year (DOE)
Hours: 40 hours per week Core 8:30am - 5:00pm Some flexibility

Key responsibilities
- Create and optimise CNC programmes for steel processing machinery (Voortman, Ficep, Kaltenbach, Peddinghaus).
- Use specialist software such as VACAM, Steel Projects, Peddimat, and BEAMDrill.
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD files, and DSTV data to ensure precision.
- Collaborate with production planning to maximise machine utilisation and reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot programming issues and maintain accurate programme libraries.
- Support production teams to achieve high-quality output on schedule.
- Proven CNC programming experience in the structural steel industry.
- Knowledge of Voortman, Ficep, Kaltenbach, or Peddinghaus machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Desirable: Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP) and nesting software.
- Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience).
- Hours: 40 per week, core hours 8:30am - 5:00pm, with some flexibility on start and finish.
