We are seeking an experienced CNC Milling Programmer / Operator / Setter to join our professional engineering team in Abingdon. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Milling Programmer / Operator / Setter who takes pride in quality, accuracy and delivering right first-time results.

You will program, set and operate CNC milling machines using safe and efficient methods to produce high-precision components.

Key Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Creating layout sheets for tooling, set ups and repeatable processes
• Self-inspection using measuring equipment and completing quality documentation
• Working independently to meet high standards and deadlines
• Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining a safe working environment

Skills and Experience required

• Ideally 5+ years' experience with 3, 4 and 5 Axis CNC machines
• Strong knowledge of Heidenhain controls
• Fanuc experience advantageous
• Experience with Doosan, Matsuura or Mazak machines
• Ability to machine to tight tolerances around 20µm
• Experience producing larger components up to 2.5m
• Strong work ethic, reliability and positive attitude
