Cloud Infrastructure Engineers x 2 - Azure/IaC

Background: Our global client is undergoing a cloud transformation program, migrating a portfolio of business-critical trading applications from on-premises infrastructure to Microsoft Azure. To support this long-term initiative, we are looking for two experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineers.

The successful candidates will be highly skilled, hands-on, and capable of operating independently within a distributed team structure alongside internal staff and third-party vendors. Prior experience working in energy, commodities or trading environments will be a significant advantage.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure (Azure VMs, Scale Sets, networking, storage).
• Implement and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Octopus Deploy).
• Automate deployments and operational tasks using PowerShell, Bash, and Azure CLI.
• Configure and manage monitoring, logging, and security tooling (Azure Monitor, LogicMonitor, Defender for Cloud)
• Manage identity and access with Azure AD, RBAC, and Managed Identities
• Design and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies
• Operate and optimize databases and storage solutions (Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Blob/File/Queue storage)
• Contribute to architectural discussions on scalability, availability, and Zero Trust Security
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Participate in on-call rotation for cloud-based systems after the onboarding period.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong experience in Microsoft Azure infrastructure (compute, networking, storage)
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent)
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef)
• Solid understanding of hybrid cloud networking (VNETs, NSGs, Load Balancers, VPNs, ExpressRoute, Peering, Firewalls, Private Endpoints)
• Proven ability to automate tasks and manage environments with Scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI)
• Strong grasp of cloud security principles, identity management, and access control
• Experience supporting production environments in hybrid (cloud/on-prem) setups
• Familiarity with DevOps/GitOps practices and CI/CD tooling
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics to different audiences
• Prior participation in on-call rotations (approx. every 5-6 weeks, 15-minute response time)
• Industry experience in energy, commodities, or trading highly beneficial.
