Cloud Engineer

Our client is a SaaS start-up/scale-up that build an all-in-one communication solution for customer service. The company has around 120 people, of which half is the technology department. They have raised a strong series A funding of around 40 million, have around 3.000 paying customers and looking to double in scale in the next 2 years.

We are looking for a senior platform engineer to join the team. The team is at the beginning of a huge innovation project, transforming the legacy infrastructure to a cloud native set-up. Old AWS services need to be transformed to modern services, containerization in form of Kubernetes needs to be implemented and all infrastructure needs to be deployed as code, using Terraform. There is a lot of room for ownership, influence and responsibility! As platform team you work together with 4 development teams and the interconnectivity needs improvement as well. Not only can you work on contribution in architecture and automating the infrastructure, but you can also help improve the SDLC by implementing DevOps methodology and improving collaboration with the development teams (as well as improving existing Ci/CD).

We are looking for:

• At least 5 years of experience working in Cloud-, DevOps-, Platform Engineering.
• At least 3 years' experience with AWS.
• At least 2 years' experience with Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Experience working in complex environments with focus on load, security and preferably scalability of a company/platform.
• Experience working in collaboration with development teams/product mindset.
