About the Service
This role sits within a growing child and adolescent mental health support service operating across Norfolk & Waveney. The service is expanding to improve accessibility, quality, and outcomes for children, young people, and families-making this an excellent time to join and contribute to meaningful transformation.
You will lead and develop the 4-13 Therapeutic Pathway clinical team, providing line management and clinical supervision to practitioners, ensuring high-quality, safe, and effective service delivery. You will work closely with senior leadership to ensure the service meets contractual, clinical, and governance standards, achieving exceptional outcomes for service users.
Leadership & Clinical Oversight
- Lead, manage and develop a team of therapeutic practitioners (up to 10 staff).
- Provide clinical and line management supervision in line with professional and organisational standards.
- Hold a small clinical caseload.
- Provide case management and participate in MDT (multi-disciplinary team) meetings.
- Undertake Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) responsibilities (training provided).
Service Delivery & Quality
- Oversee day-to-day delivery of brief intervention services for children aged 4-13 with emerging mild-to-moderate mental health needs.
- Allocate and monitor caseloads, ensuring safe and effective practice.
- Maintain high-quality standards, accurate record keeping, and prepare reports for stakeholders.
- Support the Assistant Director (Mental Health) with operational management, including buildings and equipment.
Essential Criteria
- Diploma-level (or higher) qualification in a relevant therapeutic modality (e.g., BACP/UKCP/BAPT/HCPC accredited therapy).
- Membership of a relevant professional body.
- Accredited or working toward accreditation (BACP/HCPC/UKCP).
- Minimum 2 years' experience managing an extensive and complex caseload.
- 2-4 years' experience working therapeutically in a CYP mental health setting.
- Experience leading and supervising a multi-disciplinary team.
