Job Description
About the Role

Clinical Services Manager - Service Sites within theבטח Delivery Portfolio. 40 hours per week, fixed term 6 months (possibility of extension). Reports to the Head of Service Delivery; Accountable to the Chief Operating Officer.

Purpose: To manage the day to day operational delivery of clinical services, ensuring safe, effective, and high quality care in line with agreed service specifications, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the day to day delivery of clinical services, ensuring services run safely, efficiently, and in line with agreed service models.
  • Work closely with Clinical Leads to support high quality patient care.
  • Ensure services meet agreed KPIs, performance targets, and contractual requirements; identify and report risks or issues to the Head of Service Delivery.
  • Mobilise and deliver new and evolving clinical services under the direction of the Head of Service Delivery.
  • Maintain CQC compliance, clinical governance, and information governance across services; ensure that operational processes, audits, and checks are completed and documented Pak to support inspection readiness.
  • Support adherence to infection prevention and control (IPC) standards, including monitoring, reporting, and implementation of actions.
  • Oversee cold chain management, clinical supplies, and equipment checks to ensure safe clinical practice.
  • Ensure standards of cleanliness, environmental safety, and clinical readiness are maintained across service locations.
  • Identify, monitor, and elevate clinical and operational risks; contribute to risk registers, incident reporting, and action plans.
  • Support investigation and learning from incidents, complaints, and near misses, ensuring lessons are shared within teams.
  • Facilitate Health & Safety responsibilities in line with organisational policies.
  • Line manage Service Administration and Clinical staff; oversee staff rota, training, sickness, leave, and development.
  • Support the collection, validation, and reporting of service performance data (KPIs, activity data) and prepare reports for internal governance forums, operational meetings, and service reviews.
  • Run routine and ad hoc reports from EMIS and other systems, delegating tasks appropriately while maintaining oversight of outputs.
  • Act as an operational point of contact for clinical service delivery issues, ensuring clear and timely communication.
  • Delegate and oversee workflow tasks and messages within EMIS and other clinical systems.
  • Collaborate with GP practices, system partners, and internal teams to support service delivery.

  • Support service improvement initiatives and pathway development under the direction of the Head of Service Delivery and Service Development Officer.
  • Encourage staff to identify improvement opportunities and participate in service development work.

  • Undertake other duties commensurate with the role as directed.
Essential Skills & Qualities
  • Experience coordinating or managing teams within a healthcare or clinical service environment.
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience (minimum five years in a relevant role).
  • Working knowledge of EMIS Web or similar clinical systems.
  • Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel, and data handling.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Clear and confident communicationDomin both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a clinical setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion principles.
  • Proactive, calm, and methodical approach to work.
  • A recognised clinical qualification is desirable.
Person Specification Qualifications
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience (minimum five years in a relevant role).
