An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified Independent Prescribing Optometrist to join a well-established and highly respected independent optical group across the Kent area.

What your day will look like!

As the resident Optometrist, your role will involve a mixture of routine eye care, enhanced clinical services, and ongoing patient management.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive eye examinations
  • Managing enhanced clinical and IP-related cases
  • Providing contact lens appointments and aftercare
  • Advising patients on eye health and treatment plans
  • Working closely with Dispensing Opticians and support teams
  • Managing referrals and follow-up care where appropriate
  • Maintaining accurate and compliant patient records
  • Supporting patients through their full clinical journey
  • Building strong long-term relationships with patients

The practices place a strong emphasis on patient-centred care, clinical autonomy, and professional development.

Equipment and Technology:

The practices are equipped with modern diagnostic technology to support enhanced clinical services and accurate patient care.

Equipment includes:

  • OCT
  • Digital retinal imaging
  • Slit lamp technology
  • Visual field analysers
  • Tonometer Auto-refractor
  • Advanced contact lens assessment equipment
  • Electronic patient management systems

Opening Hours

Typical opening hours are:

  • Monday - Friday: 9:00am - 5:30pm
  • Saturday: 9:00am - 5:00pm
  • Closed Sundays

Flexibility on rota and working pattern may be discussed for the right candidate.
