We are hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager for a leading nursing home in Co. Laois, Ireland. This is a Full-Time Position.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the nursing home while promoting a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for residents.
  • Deliver high quality nursing care, including clinical assessments, personal care, medication administration, and monitoring residents' health needs.
  • Liaise with GPs, district nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and respond promptly to any changes in residents' conditions.
  • Maintain strong communication with residents, families, staff, and management, ensuring clear handovers and timely reporting of incidents or concerns.
  • Support care planning and documentation, ensuring compliance with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Assist in managing budgets, resources, and supplies effectively, ensuring cost control and efficient use of materials.
  • Oversee staff management functions in the absence of the Home Manager, including recruitment, rostering, attendance monitoring, and performance management.
  • Promote staff development through training, supervision, and adherence to organisational policies, fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, infection control, fire safety, and risk management procedures, maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Contribute to the overall management, quality improvement, and reputation of the nursing home, including occupancy, presentation, and community engagement.
Requirements
  • Current NMBI registration.
  • Minimum of 2 years' management or supervisory experience.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
