Job Description

We are currently hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager 3 - Cath Lab for a hospital in Galway, Ireland .

This is a permanent, full-time position, 37.5 hours per week Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the nursing service to ensure high-quality patient care within the Cardiac Cath Lab and Angio Day Unit.
  • Support and contribute to the expansion and development of new clinical services.
  • Provide effective leadership, guidance, and support to nursing and healthcare support staff.
  • Ensure implementation and adherence to nursing policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
  • Promote positive employee relations and maintain effective communication across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ensure compliance with professional nursing practice standards and guidelines.
  • Support nurse education, training, and professional development initiatives.
  • Ensure service delivery aligns with Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA), Joint Commission International (JCI), and national healthcare standards.
  • Plan, coordinate, and guide departmental activities to optimise patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Manage staffing resources effectively, including financial planning, rostering, and staff deployment based on service requirements.
Requirements
  • Current registration in the General Division of the Live Register maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
  • Diploma in a specialist area of practice or relevant post-registration management qualification is essential.
  • Leadership diploma qualification or willingness to undertake leadership training.
  • Minimum of seven years' post-registration nursing experience.
  • At least two years' experience at CNM II level or equivalent within the last five years.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and patient care management skills.
  • Proven managerial and leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change and implement innovation effectively.
  • Ability to lead teams and support service improvement initiatives.
