Clinical Development Nurse Essex

Overview

This is a regional role where you ll lead, support and continuously improve the clinical governance and quality of care for residents in eight care homes throughout Essex and Basingstoke. You ll be expected to ensure each home performs to the highest clinical standards by reviewing the clinical governance database and KPIs monthly, identifying practical strategies to meet regulations and improve care delivery.

Main duties

As a Regional Clinical Development Nurse at Barchester, you ll lead, support and continuously improve the clinical governance and quality of care for residents in eight of our care homes throughout Essex and Basingstoke. You ll support the performance of each home to ensure it operates to the highest clinical standards. You ll review the clinical governance database and KPIs for each home every month, analyse results and identify practical strategies to ensure regulations are met and to continually improve care delivery.

Working closely with the Regional Director, improvement specialists and senior clinical staff in each home, you ll support continual improvement of standards and help implement key actions to address any issues. This may include organising new training, helping attract key senior clinical staff, or delivering clinical investigations. Your leadership and commitment to delivering the best care will positively impact residents.

Due to the regional nature of this role, a willingness for regular travel is essential.

About you

To join us as a Regional Clinical Development Nurse at Barchester, you ll need to be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a current NMC registration. You must provide evidence of continued professional development and have a strong understanding of current regulatory requirements. An experienced nurse, you ll have worked in a care home environment and be a confident clinical mentor, including with newly-qualified nurses. Your leadership, analytical mindset and ability to share knowledge, build relationships and deliver on action plans will enable you to deliver impressive results.

Person Specification Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (General) with current NMC registration; evidence of continued professional development; understanding of current regulatory requirements; experience in a care home environment; confident clinical mentor, including with newly-qualified nurses.
