Job Description

In the HUG department, the Service for Institutional Measures is tasked with managing patients in a judicial context. Comprising several care units that integrate closed environment treatment (Curabilis), open environment treatment (Iris and Onyx units at the Belle-Idée site), and community treatment, its crisis intervention offerings and specific care are conducted with respect for medical law and ethical standards. As a Chief Physician or Chief Clinician, with or without a specialty title, you will oversee patient care within the service (closed or open environment). You will operate in a demanding clinical setting, at the intersection of care, justice and security, closely collaborating with experienced multidisciplinary teams. Your approach is based on individualized therapeutic strategies aimed at the management of mental disorders, alleviation of symptoms, and prevention of recidivism. You contribute to comprehensive care that respects the dignity of individuals and the ethical principles pertinent in a constrained context. In this role, you work in coordination with professionals possessing complementary skills, such as nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, and psychomotor therapists.In addition, you have the opportunity to finalize your integrated postgraduate training, if not already completed, contributing to obtaining a specialist title in your field, and you must hold a medical degree or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Medical Professions Commission of the Federal Office of Public Health (MEBEKO). If you already possess your title, you must have the cantonal right or be able to obtain it before your start date. For non-French speakers, a C1 level in spoken and written French is required.
