Job Description
Our international client, one of the world's foremost managing consulting firms, is currently looking for a Client Development Manager to join their team in Amsterdam.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting diverse client development and business generation initiatives for the Leadership Advisory Services (LAS) Practice across EMEA and globally.
Job Profile for Client Development Manager
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Serve as the primary resource and face of client development for the Global LAS Practice, with a particular focus on EMEA
- Partner with LAS consultants to design pitch strategies and create compelling supporting materials
- Facilitate and support pursuit teams in preparing for client meetings by scheduling preparation sessions, aligning on objectives, and co-creating content plans that meet both internal and client expectations
- Create insightful and tailored qualification packs and pitch materials for new business opportunities, and ensure regular updates to key content
- Collaborate with consultants on materials for strategic client meetings such as pitches, reviews, and relationship-building sessions
- Identify and integrate knowledge, insights, data, and analytics into business development efforts, fostering global connectivity across LAS teams and client functions
- Redefine and continuously improve the LAS go-to-market narrative in partnership with Practice Leadership
- Tailor firm-wide intellectual capital themes into relevant practice-level messaging in collaboration with Marketing
- Capture and share learnings from pitches and BD activities to improve processes and pitch quality
- Guide Analysts in the creation of BD deliverables and ensure quality outcomes
- Oversee the maintenance of key BD metrics including engagement lists, target lists, win rates, and other relevant KPIs
Candidate Profile for Client Development Manager
- Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
- 5-7 years of experience in professional services or executive search, ideally with a focus on proposal support and business development
- Bachelor's or a Master's degree would be considered as a plus
- Experience managing operational workflows, and ideally overseeing a small team of analysts
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong presentation skills
- Knowledge of leadership advisory services (preferred but not required)
- Demonstrate experience in managing business development activities, including content creation and related processes
