Job Description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a highly reputable classic car restoration specialist based in Guildford, Surrey, for the role of Classic Car Technician.

Duties
  • Servicing and maintaining vintage and classic vehicles according to client specifications as a Classic Car Technician
  • Diagnosing mechanical faults and overseeing repairs or part replacements
  • Rebuilding and restoring components such as carburettors and fuel injection systems
  • Producing detailed estimates and project costings to ensure profitability
  • Maintaining accurate service and repair records as a Classic Car Technician
  • Fabricating or repairing parts as necessary and testing systems post-repair
  • Advising workshop management on complex repair or restoration requirements
  • Supporting ongoing project work which may span months or years
Requirements
  • Extensive experience working as a Classic Car Technician
  • Strong knowledge of vintage car systems, including carburettors, fuel systems, and classic engines such as straight-six configurations
  • Demonstrable experience in classic car restoration projects, with a focus on quality and accuracy
  • Full UK driving licence and own set of tools
  • City and Guilds Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance or Restoration
  • Passion for historic and vintage vehicles, particularly Jaguars
  • Proven track record of delivering high standards of craftsmanship in a classic automotive environment
