Class Teacher, Spanish Specialism (KS2/KS3) suitable for ECTs - Catshill Middle School
Posted 6 days 7 hours ago by We Manage Jobs(WMJobs)
Catshill Middle School is a welcoming, positive and inclusive community where every child is nurtured and challenged to succeed. Our culture is built on strong relationships and a shared belief that every pupil can flourish. As a school, we live out our values of kindness, aspiration and self belief in everything we do - and we are looking for a Spanish teacher who will help us model and strengthen these values every day.
We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher with a passion for languages to join our team from September 2026. Our pupils learn Spanish from the very start of year 5, and the successful candidate would teach in all year groups. For a full time candidate there may be an opportunity to teach a further subject.
Why Teach in a Middle School?- Excellent behaviour - pupils are eager to please, responsive to routines and genuinely enjoy school life.
- The joy of learning - without the pressure of GCSEs, teaching can focus on curiosity, exploration and deep understanding. It allows pupils to experience the joy of learning to speak a new language, rather than just working to pass an exam! It allows for plenty of opportunities to develop cultural awareness and the emotional reward of mastering a new skill.
- Younger learners, big enthusiasm - pupils bring energy, humour and openness, making every day engaging and uplifting. Our pupils love language learning!
- A perfect age for Spanish - children are ready for challenge, excited by a new subject and at a pivotal stage in building confidence.
- Strong relationships - you get to know pupils well and play a key role in shaping their attitudes to learning before they move to high school. It's a phase where great teaching has a huge impact - and where teachers often rediscover the joy of the profession.
