Job Description

Job Title: Class Teacher Primary (Maternity Cover - Part time)

DSLV Primary School is seeking an experienced part-time KS1/KS2 Class Teacher.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong classroom practice, including effective differentiation, assessment, and behaviour for learning. You will build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families, contributing to a supportive and collaborative school community.

Key responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, high quality teaching across the KS2 curriculum ensuring good progress for all pupils
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations, curiosity and good behaviour
  • Assess, record and report on pupil progress, using data to inform teaching and targeted support
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners including SEND and EAL
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and carers to support learning and welfare
Qualifications and Skills
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Effective classroom management
  • Good knowledge of primary teaching strategies
  • Ability to assess pupil learning accurately
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Pay range: MPS - £16,458.00 - £22,676.00 - FTE: £32,916.00 - £45,352.00
