The Governors of Hurst Green Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reflective and committed teacher to join our team from September 2026. The year group is not yet finalised but is likely to be Lower Key Stage 2.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly improving school with high expectations, a strong sense of purpose and a genuine commitment to staff development and wellbeing. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers. ECTs are strongly encouraged to apply and will receive exceptional support, mentoring and professional development as part of our established induction programme.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Builds strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
  • Is reflective, positive and willing to grow professionally
  • Shares our commitment to inclusion and school improvement

We can offer:

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children; therefore, the post is subject to medical clearance and an enhanced DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

All applicants must be able to provide documentation to prove their right to work in the UK. We do not offer sponsorship for candidates without the right to work in the UK.

Effective from September 2022, KCSIE states that schools and colleges should consider carrying out online searches, as part of the due diligence on shortlisted candidates, to determine suitability to work with children and keep them safe. All shortlisted candidates are now subject to an online check, and if there is anything concerning, the shortlisted candidate will be asked to comment.
