Class Teacher - Secondary SEND School - BirminghamAre you a qualified Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity working with secondary-aged students with Autism and Moderate Learning Needs? Do you want to teach small classes where relationships, structure and personalised learning are key? This specialist setting is looking to appoint a committed Class Teacher to support students across Key Stage 3 and 4 in a nurturing and well-supported environment.As a Class Teacher at this school, you will be responsible for delivering a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to the needs and abilities of your students. You will work closely with experienced Teaching Assistants to create a structured and engaging classroom where pupils can build confidence and make measurable progress. Teachers from both primary and secondary backgrounds will be considered for this role. Qualified Teacher Status is essential. Previous experience teaching children with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.Job Role:
- Teaching small classes of secondary-aged students with Autism and Moderate Learning Needs
- Planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs
- Creating a calm, structured and inclusive classroom environment
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants to support engagement and progress
- Supporting students' communication, independence and social development
- Assessing, monitoring and recording student progress
- Contributing to EHCP targets and individual learning plans
- Teach small classes with strong staff-to-pupil ratios
- Receive excellent support from the SLT and wider team
