Location: Cambridge, CB4 0DN

Shifts: Monday to Friday, 04:00 - 14:30

Pay Rate: £16 per hour

We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Driver Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy goods vehicles, primarily flatbed vehicles, with occasional Skip Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) work. Safety, professionalism, and excellent customer service are essential in this role.

Duties

• Drive HGV Class 2 vehicles over 17.5 tonnes.
• Mainly operate flatbed vehicles.
• Carry out occasional Skip Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) work.
• Complete daily vehicle checks.
• Ensure loads are secured safely.
• Follow all road safety and driver regulations.
• Complete delivery paperwork when required.
• Keep vehicles clean and report any faults.

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
• Happy to accept LTD drivers.
• Qualified to drive vehicles over 7.5 tonnes.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of road safety and driver regulations.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Previous flatbed or Skip RoRo experience is an advantage but not essential.
