We are currently recruiting for a dependable and proactive Class 1 Shunter to join a busy logistics site in Warrington. This is a varied, hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and being part of a fast-moving operation.

The Role For The Class 1 Shunter:
As a Class 1 Shunter, you'll play a key role in keeping the site running smoothly by ensuring vehicles are prepared, positioned, and ready for distribution.

Key Duties For The Class 1 Shunter:

• Moving HGV vehicles safely around the yard
• Preparing vehicles for dispatch, ensuring they are clean and road-ready
• Cleaning vehicle exteriors, interiors, and trailers
• Refuelling and carrying out routine safety checks
• Assisting drivers with unloading when required
• Supporting warehouse operations, including order picking
• Maintaining a clean, organised yard and warehouse environment

What We're Looking For:

• Valid Class 1 (Category C E) licence or shunter qualification
• Previous experience in a similar yard or vehicle prep role (preferred)
• Awareness of health & safety and hygiene standards (COSHH knowledge beneficial)
• Warehouse experience advantageous (FLT licence helpful but not essential)
• A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to work outdoors in all conditions

Shift & Pay Details:

• 4 on / 4 off rotating shift pattern
• Shift times
• Includes weekend and bank holiday working
• £15.53 per hour
