Civil Project Manager

CareerWise Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a highly successful and growing civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Civil Project Manager (Cork / Limerick Region). This is an exciting opportunity to join a company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure, utilities, drainage, renewable energy and civil engineering projects across Munster.

The role will suit a motivated Project Manager who enjoys taking ownership, leading high-performing teams and delivering projects safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

Role of this position

• Manage projects from commencement through to completion.
• Lead health, safety, quality and environmental performance on-site
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant and materials.
• Drive programme performance and ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve project issues quickly and effectively.
• Monitor costs, productivity and commercial performance.
• Support and develop engineers, supervisors and site teams.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years experience managing civil engineering or infrastructure projects (Ireland or UK)
• Strong background in areas such as roads, drainage, utilities, renewables, groundworks or infrastructure.
• Proven ability to deliver projects safely, on programme and within budget.
• Experience managing subcontractors, clients and multiple stakeholders.
• Strong organisational, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and commercial awareness.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar.
• Advantage, Experience with NEC or Public Works Contracts or experience on infrastructure, energy or residential development projects.
