Job Description

To complement our teams, we are looking for a: Civil Engineering Manager - Railway Surroundings and Safety Delegate. What we offer: A varied position in a constantly evolving environment. In the field of Civil Engineering (CE) and railway surroundings, you organize, carry out and monitor maintenance and upkeep works of infrastructure, art installations, walls, platforms, road accesses, and other elements related to rail infrastructure. You ensure monitoring and compliance through regular inspections, support the building service for interventions near the tracks that require specific safety measures, and take charge of the maintenance of railway surroundings (space clearing, pruning, erosion, rock falls, mowing). You plan and coordinate resources, monitor the execution of works, and contribute to the needs of the CE field. As a safety delegate, you are co-responsible for the safety of the service (visual inspections, close collaboration with the railway safety officer, adherence to safety processes and annual equipment checks). You participate in projects and maintenance works and may occasionally replace safety officers for the railway or LC. You also ensure an active leadership role within the team.Who we are looking for: A person with a CFC in civil engineering or equivalent. A certificate or diploma in the construction field (works, masonry, metal construction) or equivalent is an asset. A diploma in railway safety is an advantage. Experience as a site manager in the CE field and/or maintenance of railway surroundings is required. Experience in site management is a plus. A good knowledge of and adherence to safety regulations is essential. Leadership and excellent communication skills are required. A reliable, punctual, and trustworthy individual with solid skills in project management.
