Christmas Day Chef at Infusion Village

Infusion Village, a vibrant and inclusive venue in South Croydon, is looking for a talented Chef to join our team for a special Christmas Day event. We aim to deliver a festive dining experience that caters to a diverse range of tastes, including Halal and Indian-inspired dishes. If you are experienced in preparing traditional Christmas meals as well as delicious Indian cuisine, we'd love to hear from you!

Position: Christmas Day Chef

Date: December 25th, 2024

Location: Infusion Village, South Croydon, Purley, London

Shift: Full Day (from morning prep until service is completed)

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of festive dishes, including traditional Christmas favourites (roast meats, vegetables, gravy) and special Indian-inspired options such as Biryani, Chicken Curries, and Karak Chai.
• Ensure all dishes are Halal-friendly and adhere to dietary requirements.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
• Work efficiently with a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations throughout the day.
• Ensure all food is prepared in line with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Contribute to creating a festive, warm atmosphere for our guests and team.

Key Dishes to Prepare:

• Traditional Christmas roasts (without alcohol-based ingredients)
• Halal Chicken Curry, Beef Curry, Vegetable Curry
• Biryani (chicken and vegetarian options)
• Karak Chai (spiced tea)
• Side dishes such as naan, roti, salads, and more
• Classic Christmas sides, including vegetables, stuffing, and gravy (all Halal-friendly)

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a chef, with knowledge of both traditional British Christmas meals and Indian cuisine.
• Ability to prepare Halal meals and accommodate dietary preferences.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
• A passion for cooking and providing an exceptional dining experience.
• Positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.
• Flexibility to handle a variety of dishes and last minute changes during a busy service.
