Summary
Provide customer liaison and interface on projects across Daikin Applied (UK) Ltd's client portfolio. With a strong focus on meeting
contract obligations, whilst maintaining and improving predicted project profit margins.
Main Responsibilities
•To provide total client support from receipt of order through to successful manufacture, delivery (where appropriate and through the warranty) and report to the Chiller Projects Manager on a regular basis.
• Liaison with our Italian factory support staff to ensure equipment is made to client requirements and timescales. Including assisting in approval our order packages where required.
• Carry out detailed handovers of client's orders with Sales staff/agents on receipt of new orders. Document handover and address any issues that are highlighted. Raise SOPR and save it in the Project folder.
• Work closely with the Project Coordinator, to ensure all new orders are processed on Business Central. Including the breakdown of the order and the predicted invoice values/dates of each project. Monitors invoicing on a weekly basis and assured the Project Coordinator ships and submits customer invoices on time.
• Monitors all project spending, with tight cost control. Negotiate with suppliers to ensure margins are maintained or improved. Have full P&L responsibility for each project and keep customers' concessions to an absolute minimum. Keep track of live project margin.
• Attends project sites/customer offices and maintains face to face customer contact wherever necessary, including kick of meetings, project reviews, chiller deliveries, site surveys, final accounts and travel to the factory for equipment testing or any other necessary visits.
• Take ownership of projects assigned to him/her. Maintains teamwork philosophy with other departments to facilitate problem-solving and provide good customer service.
• Manages customers disputes to keep debt to a minimum.
• Handles customer complaints quickly and efficiently in line with company policy and procedures.
• Adheres to the Company Health & Safety policy to ensure we maintain the highest quality of service and delivery.
• Carry out all other tasks related to projects, Customer Service and Chiller Contracting Processes, including housekeeping of project folders and information.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
The below are all desirable, however we would accept some gaps in knowledge if the candidate is willing to learn and progress to develop their skills.
• Good knowledge on HVAC systems
• Confident user in Microsoft Office, predominantly Excel and Outlook
• Experience in the ERP System would be beneficial
• Good Communication Skills - both written and verbal
Qualifications/Experience:
•Mechanical or Manufacturing Degree (HNC/HND)
•Project Management Qualification - Prince 2 or equivalent
•Prior work experience in a contract management role, such as purchasing or contracting for at least
