As a Team Leader, your leadership and supportwill play a key role in delivering these outcomes every day.
You'll support the day-to-day running of thehome, leading by example to create a safe, nurturing environment where youngpeople can develop and succeed.
- Support the care of children aged 12-17 in a safe, homelyenvironment
- Contribute to meeting their physical, emotional, social, andeducational needs
- Build positive relationships to support personal development
- Promote independence through daily living skills
- Supervise and support team members to develop their skills andconfidence
- Lead by example, ensuring high standards of care
- Mentor less experienced staff and strengthen team capability
- Advocate for the needs and best interests of young people
- Support consistent, high-quality care across the service
- Work flexibly across shifts, including days, waking nights, andsleep-ins
- Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Willingness to work towards a management qualification
- Awareness of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Experience supporting or mentoring others in a team setting
- Passion for improving outcomes for young people
- Strong communication, empathy, and emotional awareness
- A calm, resilient approach in challenging situations
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
