We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Social Work - Family Help/Child Protection Team in Gateshead. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families within our community. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively to safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable children, providing support to families in need.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and developing intervention plans tailored to individual family needs.
- Working closely with children, parents, and other professionals to ensure effective service delivery.
- Managing a caseload of children and families, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
- Providing advice and support to families, helping them to access resources and services.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working in children's social work, particularly in family help or child protection settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
