Children's Support Worker (Temporary Role - CAMHS Experience Required)

Location: Salford

Hours: 40-42 hours per week (mixture of days and nights)

Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour (Days) £14.50 per hour (Nights)

P4 Recruitment are currently recruiting for Temporary Children's Support Workers to join residential home in Salford supporting young people with mental health needs.

This specialist home works closely with a dedicated psychologist, enabling the team to provide a therapeutic, trauma-informed environment. The focus is on helping young people to understand, express, and manage their emotions while developing positive coping strategies they can carry forward into adulthood.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care and emotional support to young people with complex mental health needs.
  • Support the delivery of therapeutic care plans in partnership with the in-house psychologist and wider multi-disciplinary team.
  • Encourage emotional regulation, resilience, and positive coping mechanisms.
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment at all times.
  • Build positive, professional, and trusting relationships with young people.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and adherence to safeguarding procedures.
We are looking for candidates who:
  • Have previous experience working with young people with mental health needs.
  • Have CAMHS experience or experience working alongside mental health professionals (highly desirable).
  • Are confident working in a therapeutic, trauma-informed setting.
  • Are compassionate, resilient, and committed to making a difference.
  • Can work flexibly across day and night shifts.
