Children's SSW - Family Support & Safeguarding Team - Lewisham

In this role, you will provide vital support to children and families in need, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting positive outcomes within the community.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
• Developing and implementing effective intervention plans tailored to individual family situations.
• Working collaboratively with multi-agency teams to coordinate services and resources.
• Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in compliance with departmental standards.
• Providing emotional support and guidance to families, empowering them to make positive changes.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

• Qualified Social Worker status with a relevant degree (BA/MA in Social Work).
• Current Social Work England registration.
• Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse families.
• Proficiency in assessment and intervention methodologies.
