Rated 'Good' in all areas - 2-bed children's home
At Footsteps, we believe in creating homes where children feel safe, supported, and valued. Guided by our values of trust, fairness, honesty, and support, we work together to make a real difference, whatever the weather, we stand united to protect, nurture, and invest in everyone under our umbrella.
We're looking for compassionate, motivated Residential Support Workers to join our close, supportive team in Northwich. Our home provides care for young people with complex and challenging needs, so we need people who are emotionally resilient, creative in their approach, and able to build genuine, trusting relationships.
You'll be part of a nurturing environment that values your growth as much as the children's. Through our training provider, we offer apprenticeships from Level 3 to Level 5, with opportunities for continued development up to Level 7 for those who progress into senior management roles. We're proud to see our team members grow from Residential Support Worker to management positions, because when you invest in Footsteps, we invest in you.
We're also proud of our Dog Therapy Programme , which brings unique comfort, motivation, and joy to the young people we support. With the right safeguards in place, our therapy dog helps young people to build confidence, reduce anxiety, and develop essential life skills in calm, positive ways.
What we offer:
A strong, values-led team that supports and celebrates one another
Enrolment onto the Level 3 Residential Childcare Apprenticeship within six months
Ongoing training, qualifications, and career progression opportunities
Performance, attendance, and "above and beyond" bonuses
Supportive supervision and wellbeing initiatives
Requirements:
Must be aged 21 or over (for insurance purposes when driving company vehicles)
Must hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months (insurance requirement)
A caring, patient, and proactive approach
Emotional resilience and a genuine passion for supporting young people
Salary:
The advertised monthly pay is based on 173 contracted hours, including an average of 11 sleep-ins and 4 on-calls per month. Sleep-ins and on-calls are scheduled monthly and may vary.
If you're ready to join a team that truly lives its values and makes every day count for young people, we'd love to hear from you.
