The Role:
Are you passionate about making a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people? Do you have the skills and confidence to lead and inspire a team? If so, we have a rewarding opportunity for you.
We're looking for a Deputy Manager to join The Mead Children's Home in Odiham, Hampshire-a place where you can become a role model and help shape brighter futures.
In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with the Registered Manager to lead and develop a nurturing, Ofsted-regulated home for up to four children aged 8-17 who may have experienced trauma. Guided by our Pillars of Parenting model of care, you'll focus on each child's unique strengths to support their growth and help them achieve positive outcomes.
You'll be part of a dedicated team delivering trauma-informed therapeutic interventions within the Children's Services framework. Whether supporting a child's journey back to their family or helping them transition to independent living, your leadership will be key to creating a safe, stable, and empowering environment.
What you'll do:
As Deputy Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring it operates in line with statutory requirements and national guidance for Children's Homes. You'll also contribute to the wider work of Hampshire County Council's children's residential services.
Working alongside a dedicated team of Team Supervisors, Children's Home Support Workers, and a network of external professionals, you'll help ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children in our care. You'll support their health needs, encourage engagement in education, and help them make meaningful progress against their individual care plans.
What we're looking for:
We are looking for an individual with strong leadership and motivational skills and ability to take on the opportunity to continuously improve the service.
