Overview

Job Title: Children's Baking Instructor (After School Club)

Our client is seeking a passionate and reliable Baking Instructor to deliver fun, hands-on baking sessions for children aged 4-11 in a safe and engaging after-school environment.

Role Overview

You will lead structured baking sessions, teaching children how to bake and decorate a variety of sweet and savoury items while encouraging creativity, teamwork, and independence.

Full training, lesson plans, and materials are provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, age-appropriate baking sessions


• Teach children basic baking and decorating skills


• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment


• Supervise children and follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures


• Create a positive, supportive, and encouraging atmosphere

Working Hours

• Tuesday and Thursday afternoons


• 4 hours per day


• Term-time only

Requirements

Essential:

• Strong baking skills (professional or hobbyist)


• Comfortable working with children


• Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic approach


• Own transport


• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable:

• Experience working with children (teaching assistant, tutor, childcare, instructor, etc.)


• Knowledge of food hygiene and safeguarding
