Children, Young People and Families Practitioner

We have an opportunity for a Children, Young People and Families Practitioner to join the organisation on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Children, Young People and Families Project Manager, the Practitioner will provide initial discussions with children, young people and their families, create a safe environment to explore mental health related concerns and collaboratively decide on necessary support. The role involves supporting CYP 0-18, building and managing a caseload, and delivering a range of person centred interventions including coaching, de escalation support, psycho education, therapeutic groups, assemblies and workshops.
In this role you will be responsible for identifying and responding to risk and safeguarding situations, following organisational policy and procedure. Communication with your team, manager and external services is a key component of your duties.
What you will bring to TOG MindTo be considered for this role, we are looking for experienced candidates who can draw upon their knowledge, lived experience and education that informs person centred and solution focused practice to support the mental health and wellbeing of children, young people and their families. You will be passionate, enthusiastic, experienced in liaising with other professionals, committed to providing positive outcomes and achieving organisational aims.
You will ideally have experience holding a caseload of children and young people and bring a flexible approach, with the ability to respond and adapt to client needs. You will bring strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships, foster collaboration and communicate empathically with families.
You will bring knowledge and understanding of the Health and Social Care sector and be committed to cross sector working to bring about positive change for the young people and families you support. You will be able to demonstrate active listening and curiosity and value preventative strategies in supporting mental health and wellbeing.
