Children Social Worker ( Guernsey)

We are seeking qualified social workers to a children service and teams in Guernsey in particular, social workers with strong backgrounds in safeguarding.

Overview:

• Assessing the need for care and protection of individuals or families
• Ensuring that individuals or families receive the necessary support and protection
• Assisting in the implementation of policies that aim to safeguard the vulnerable and uplift communities
• Making recommendations or referrals to other services or agencies
• Minimum of one-year post qualifying experience in child protection work in the UK.
• Knowledge and understanding of theory and legislation that affects children and families and a good knowledge of childcare practice, particularly in relation to child protection and looked after children
• Experience of undertaking joint investigations and a variety of needs and risk assessments that are evidence and theory based.
• Ability to use information technology effectively and efficiently.
• clean and current driving licence.
