Job Description

Protocol is looking for a Childcare Quality Assurance Manager. You will be responsible for internal verification activities, managing assessors and allocating learners to the appropriate assessors. You will need to develop assessors to improve the quality of delivery across all learning programmes.

It will be essential that you ensure that all IQA activities continually meet the needs of the learners and exceed the requirements of the Awarding Bodies. Have in-depth knowledge of E-Portfolio. Contribute to the ongoing cycle of standardisation meetings for assessors to ensure best practice.

You will be required to manage delivery models and other resources to embed a consistent and standardised approach to delivery. Complete regular sampling of assessor activity to ensure consistency across the team. All the while ensuring sampling is completed and turned around within the timescales set.

As a part of the role, you will participate in and/or manage EQA visits to ensure the visit scheduled is adhered to, all portfolios requested are presented and meet the standards resulting in a positive visit. Due to the content, you will be quality-assuring, it is essential that you have a good working knowledge of the EPA process for childcare.

As a part of the EPA process, you will need to liaise with Awarding Bodies on assessment materials and the assessment process for EPA. To coach and develop assessors. Aid in the development of new qualifications and gain centre approval when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Must hold a childcare degree or relevant qualification and Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process & Practices
  • Experience of performing a similar role as Quality Manager or Internal Verifier within childcare
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of Apprenticeships Standards
  • Experience of Study Programmes/Traineeships
  • Good knowledge and experience of End Point Assessments
  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
