Donegal County Childcare Committee Ltd is seeking to recruit for the following temporary positions: one Childcare Development Officer and one Support/Communications Development Officer.

The Childcare Development Officer role is part of a team responsible for local support to Early Learning and Care services, School Aged Childcare services, Childminders and Parents.

Responsibilities for the Childcare Development Officer include:

  • Support the implementation of the Government's National Early Learning and Care Schemes.
  • Provide ongoing support to new and existing Early Learning and Care and School Aged Childcare Providers in relation to compliance, HR, governance, sustainability and practice supports.

Responsibilities for the Support/Communications Development Officer include:

  • Provide communication support to the CCC team.
Essential Criteria
  • Knowledge of the various Government early learning and care funding schemes and the supports available.
  • Knowledge of Túsla Regulations and all quality guidelines and standards.
  • Experience in financial planning and management.
  • Experience in developing and delivery training.
  • An understanding of the Irish early childhood sector, including current policy developments, national practice frameworks, funding structures and mechanisms for support.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a related role.
  • Minimum level 8 on the national framework of qualifications in a relatable discipline.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of inclusive early childhood education and care.
  • Excellent report writing and information gathering skills.
  • Experience of using IT packages such as Microsoft Office and Outlook.
