Responsibilities- Lead a team of Child Safety Operations Specialists, ensuring daily operational effectiveness, setting team goals and overseeing professional development.
- Demonstrate operational excellence on a team that evaluates risk, threats, and user safety in time critical escalations.
- Execute instant decision making while analyzing factors such as imminence of danger, sensitivities, and graphic content, coordinating with internal and external partners, including law enforcement, to ensure user safety.
- Operate within a work environment that handles sensitive content involving child sexual abuse and exploitation, as well as other offensive or disturbing material.
- Lead escalations or urgent law enforcement requests and liaise with Product, Policy, Communications, and Legal teams as needed.
- Identify problems across organizations, create proactive programs and processes, and establish regular reporting to stakeholders on progress, findings, and recommendations.
- Manage multiple interdependent projects of moderate to high complexity, working cross functionally to coordinate and align objectives and key results.
- Enhance operational workflows through process improvements and automation opportunities, driving innovation in policy implementation best practices.
- 5+ years of experience in operations management, relationship building, and cross functional teamwork, with at least 2 years of leadership in an investigative or Trust & Safety team.
- Experience reviewing or being exposed to sensitive and potentially harmful content involving minors, including child sexual abuse and exploitation, within removal flows and escalation management.
- Experience managing end to end projects and driving collaboration across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, risk assessment, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead, multi task, and respond quickly in complex environments without compromising quality.
- Passion for protecting children and experience working on Trust & Safety or related online abuse issues.
- Availability to work weekends on a rotational basis.
- Experience in crisis management, government agencies, or law enforcement.
- Knowledge of child safety policies or legislation.
- Experience with social media, analytical tools, and open source investigation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, adapting style for different stakeholders, including cross functional teams and law enforcement partners.
