Job Description

Join The Lighthouse - Transforming the UK's Response to Child Sexual Abuse

The Lighthouse is leading a national shift in how children are supported after sexual abuse, and if you share our commitment to changing the system, we want to hear from you.

We are recruiting a Social Worker to join our specialist multidisciplinary team in Camden. Serving North Central London and influencing practice across the UK, we deliver a proven, child-centred model that strengthens recovery, improves health outcomes and enhances children's experience of the criminal justice system. This fixed-term role runs until 31 March 2027 and offers a rare opportunity to develop specialist expertise in one of the most innovative services in the country.

As England's first Child House, The Lighthouse brings police, health, psychology and advocacy together under one roof. We provide early advice and safeguarding oversight, a VRI suite for evidence and cross-examination, holistic medical assessments and therapeutic support, ensuring children receive consistent, trauma-informed care in one place.

In this role, you will contribute to our duty and case management systems, provide clear guidance to children and carers on the criminal justice process, and ensure robust safeguarding at referral. You will carry out holistic assessments and deliver direct interventions alongside ChISVAs, CAMHS clinicians, paediatric staff and NSPCC partners, playing an essential role in each child's journey through the Lighthouse.

We are seeking a qualified, professionally registered Social Worker with strong safeguarding experience, confidence working independently, and a commitment to reflective supervision, psychological safety and effective partnership working.

We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace whose teams reflect the diversity of the children and families we support. We particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and other ethnicities, and from men, who are underrepresented in our service in order for us to provide a service that reflects our children and family's experiences and uniqueness.
